Just found out that we must exchange our Jersey driving licenses for french ones, apparently we were meant to do it within 12 months, oops.
So here we go again with tons of paperwork, translations, and several trips to the prefecture in Rennes no doubt.

Well the weather has got back to a reasonable temperature of 12 degrees from yesterdays minus 2, I must admit the last 2 or 3 days it seemed more like -5, and everything was totally frozen with the pond looking very weird.
Having an easy day today, getting ready for our short break in Jersey this weekend, so no trips planned, just a bit of plumbing repairs, and sort out my backups on the computer, and trying to organise the legalities of us running a B&B.

France update (at last)
Well its been just over a year since we moved from Jersey to Brittany in France, and all is well. It took a while to get used to the "french way" of doing things, but we have got there and are settled and very happy here.
The french certainly love there paperwork, and this has probably been the biggest problem, but we have overcome everything they throw at us (so far), and love the french way of life.
Sorry for long delay in any updates, but hope to use this blog much more often, probably daily, so bear with us.

Almost there!
Tuesday 30th November 2010 and less than a week to go now before we move to France.
The excitment is building up now, but I have just had an operation for a new hip, so hardly able to walk, let alone help with the removals, but we have a great team of removal guys, so they will have to do all the hard work.
All our furniture is in storage, and we are staying in the Shakespeare hotel this week, until our departure first thing on Saturday morning
